Here is our inquiry presentation!

We explored the topic of incorporating technology into outdoor education to enhance learning. We explain what Educational Technology is, how it can be used, what the pros and cons are, and provided resources on way to include this in and out of the classroom. In our presentation you will see several websites, apps, and other resources that can expand learning outdoors. This allows allows students to explore their curiosity in an innovative way and learn in a hands on way.

We also discussed the connection to Indigenous pedagogy by explaining the importance of incorporating the nature world into the class space. Getting students engaged with the natural environment is one way for students to discover the historical and cultural significance that many plants and animals have in the Indigenous communities in their area. This method of teaching also break down the barriers between westernized education and Indigenous ways of knowing furthering the decolonization process.
