Today in class we learned how to screencast and screen edit using Screencastify. I have never screen recorded anything on my computer so this was a completely new experience for me. For someone who has never done anything like this before, I found Screencastify very easy to use. Navigating through the website was straightforward and the hardest part of this assignment for me was honestly finding a quiet place to record.

Once recording my video, I was able to download it to my computer. I tried to edit using Screencastify but found that I was not able to edit as much without paying for a prescription. Instead, I went on Microsoft Video Editor and attempted to use that platform. I didn’t need to add/edit much on my video, however I definitely could use some practice on video editing for the next time I need to do a video project.

Overall I found this platform really accessible and really easy to use. I think that this could be a great tool to use in the classroom as well as a way to provide resources to students who may be away during class or through online learning. I look forward to playing around with it a bit more but it will definitely be something I hang onto through my practicum as well as into my own classroom.

Anyways, here’s a short little video explaining how to play one of my childhood favorite games, Frizzel Frazzel. I used to be obsessed with this game so I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I did!
